BIM Manager

BIM Lead / BIM Manager – Architecture | Strategic Leadership Role

Your new company

This respected architecture practice is known for its community-focused design ethos, delivering impactful work across education, social infrastructure and public‑realm environments. With a team of approachable, collaborative professionals, the business prides itself on fostering a positive, inclusive culture where people feel supported and valued. Regular team gatherings, professional development funding and a strong commitment to wellbeing make this an employer of choice for those seeking stability, purpose and growth.

Your new role

As the BIM Lead, you will take ownership of establishing and embedding BIM processes, standards and long-term strategy across the practice. Moving beyond a purely technical remit, this role plays a key part in shaping how BIM supports project delivery, operational efficiency and digital innovation.
You will oversee BIM implementation across multiple projects, ensure consistent modelling quality, and drive continuous improvement across Revit, AutoCAD, cloud-based workflows, interiors and landscape packages. The role also includes people management responsibilities, including mentoring junior staff, conducting 1:1s, and contributing to a culture of engagement, learning and recognition.
This is a standalone leadership role with no progression required — instead, it offers the opportunity to define the BIM function and influence the future direction of the practice.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A recognised degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5 years’ plus experience in architecture or BIM within an architectural practice.
  • Minimum 3 years delivering BIM Management across complex projects.
  • Expert Revit capability with hands‑on modelling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of BIM software, standards and protocols (including ISO 19650).
  • Experience with AutoCAD; Dynamo exposure is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of completion.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to lead, mentor and influence.
  • Experience in community or school infrastructure projects is highly regarded.

What you'll get in return

  • Hybrid working with only one office day per fortnight for managers.
  • 9‑day fortnight
  • Financial support for training, upskilling and professional development.
  • A genuine people‑first culture with approachable leaders and a supportive team environment.
  • The opportunity to shape BIM strategy and drive innovation across the practice.
