Hays is partnering with a mining organisation with operations globally. Known for its diverse, collaborative culture, this business is investing in its finance systems capability and is seeking an ERP / Finance Systems professional they can develop long term.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly experienced team and be trained and mentored into a specialist ERP and finance systems role.

Your new role

This position is ideal for someone with a finance or accounting background who is keen to move into systems, projects, and ERP work. You will be embedded into the role, shadowing senior team members and gradually taking ownership of your own projects.
The role will be varied and project focused, with exposure to business systems used across multiple mine sites and time zones.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting and enhancing finance and ERP systems (primarily PRONTO, with exposure to JDE)
- Assisting with ERP projects, upgrades, and system improvements
- Gathering business requirements and translating them into system solutions
- Supporting users with business applications and resolving issues
- Participating in testing, documentation, and change management activities
- Working closely with finance stakeholders and the broader ERP team
- Over time, you will take on your own projects, supported by an experienced mentor.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 2–3+ years’ experience in finance, accounting, or a related role
  • Understanding of core finance concepts (GLs, reconciliations, accounting processes)
  • An interest in systems, technology, and process improvement (plus some demonstrable experience or further study)
  • Exposure to ERP systems or business applications (desirable, not essential)
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • A long-term mindset and desire to build a career in finance systems
