Your new role
As an Asset Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining Asset Management Plans and the 10-year Capital Works Plan. Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining and updating the asset register to inform long-term infrastructure planning.
Undertaking asset inspections and condition assessments.
Preparing project charters for capital works and coordinating grant submissions.
Providing technical advice and promoting asset data standards across the organisation.
Supporting strategic planning and reporting for Council.
This is a dynamic position where you’ll liaise with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and government agencies to ensure assets are managed effectively.
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Strong knowledge of asset management principles, risk assessment, and forward planning.
Experience in managing or maintaining civil infrastructure.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, GIS, and asset management software.
