Your new role
Reporting to the Project Accounting Lead, you will be responsible for the following:
- Review asset acquisition records and supporting documentation.
- Capitalise assets in the fixed asset register in accordance with applicable policies and accounting standards.
- Verify asset clarifications, useful lives and depreciation methods.
- Liaise with departments to gather missing or incomplete asset information.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trail of capitalised assets.
- Assist with reconciliation of the fixed asset register to the ledger.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- A degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience working in large scale organisations is essential.
- Experienced in tax and regulatory books.
- Experience in fixed assets accounting or capitalisation processes.
- Strong excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Workday experience would be an advantage.
