Your new role
This position is part of the Mobility Transformation Portfolio (MTP), which is responsible for delivering the Mobile Workforce and Digital Workforce Programs. As a Training Officer, you’ll be crucial to the MTP Team, working closely with the Change Leads to design and create the training plans and then deliver them, both face-to-face and online, to Police Officers across the state. Your duties will include engaging with stakeholders to conduct a training needs analysis, developing a full end to end training program including supporting artefacts and materials, and then delivering the training program collaborating with Sworn Officers across South Australia. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to a significant transformation portfolio alongside collaborative and high-performing program teams. Your expertise in learning and development and your excellent interpersonal skills will be key to your success.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in training analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation, stakeholder management, engagement, and relationships skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels, partner with and influence business area managers and executives and, produce written reports of a high quality.
- Proven ability to plan, develop and implement structured training programs, and develop and implement high level future-focussed training strategies for a program or project.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and applying project management principles and methodologies.
- Ability to research, gather information from a variety of sources, check information for errors and analyse content to ensure program content and materials are contemporary and accurate.
- Ability to analyse training data and draw the insights required to develop or improve training programs
- Demonstrated ability to work under broad direction in a highly organised manner and exercise a significant level of responsibility, decision making, judgement and delegated authority in resolving complex problems in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Highly organised and methodical, with great attention to detail and timeline driven.
- Some state-based travel is required.
