Large Federal Government Department Seeking Site Security Observers for Overseas Projects

Your new company

Our client is a large, high-profile Federal Government Department who are at the forefront of promoting and protecting Australia’s international interests. They are seeking a Site Security Observer from February 2026 to oversee and observe construction workers and others on site on projects overseas.

Your new role

  • Monitor and observe personnel within designated worksite areas.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Construction Security Plan (CSP).
  • Inspect and audit materials brought onto site, reporting and containing any suspicious items.
  • Operate and manage technical security equipment on site.
  • Identify and report suspicious behaviour or security breaches.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant WHS and construction experience, particularly in site safety and risk management in overseas or high-security environments.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment up to 30kg.
  • Competence in using basic hand and power tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on operational outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High standards in observation, reporting, and documentation.
  • Experience operating CCTV and alarm systems.
  • Exceptional communication across all organisational levels.
  • Ability to travel overseas
  • You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 Security Clearance.

  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Crystalline Silica exposure Prevention
