Your new role
As the APS6 Senior Intranet Officer, you’ll contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimisation of the agency’s intranet. You’ll ensure content is accessible, engaging, and strategically aligned, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and supporting intranet redevelopment. The role blends strategic planning with hands-on publishing, with a strong emphasis on user experience and accessibility. Other responsibilities include:

Managing and publishing intranet content using SharePoint Online
Collaborating with internal teams to gather, refine, and deliver effective communications
Supporting intranet redevelopment projects, including UX and accessibility improvements
Reviewing and editing content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with style guides
Monitoring intranet performance and user engagement to inform ongoing improvements
What you'll need to succeed
Strong experience with SharePoint, ideally SharePoint Online
Proven ability to manage and improve intranet platforms
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to analyse content needs and align with accessibility standards
Confidence in making independent decisions and managing workflows
Familiarity with content strategy, plain English standards, and style guides
