As the Internal Audit and Risk Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of both the Internal Audit and Risk Management functions. Reporting to the Assistant Directors of Internal Audit and Risk and Fraud.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining the Internal Audit Work Program.
- Conducting research to identify emerging audit topics.
- Coordinating strategic consultation meetings with senior executives.
- Generating strategic analysis reports with actionable recommendations.
- Ensuring compliance with the Internal Audit Charter and audit protocols.
- Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Designing and enhancing the Risk Management Policy and Framework.
- Promoting risk management within the department.
- Facilitating stakeholder risk workshops.
- Supporting fraud and corruption prevention initiatives.
- Maintaining the Fraud and Corruption Control Plan.
- Conducting fraud and corruption risk assessments.
- Collaborating with legal officers and external counsel on compliance strategies.
What you'll need to succeed
As well as the below, this role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance. - Strong knowledge of governance frameworks and best practices.
- Ability to analyse complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent organisational and self-management skills.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with external stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in internal audit and risk functions is strongly desired.
- Governance and coordination experience are required.
