Following a major uplift in funding to support significant capital works programs, the organisation is seeking an experienced Project and Leasing Manager to join their team in this pivotal hybrid role.
Your new role
As the Project and Leasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisations operational continuity throughout its major capital works program. Responsibilities include;
- Lead or support end‑to‑end commercial lease negotiations, covering lease terms, fit‑out contributions, make‑good obligations and flexibility clauses.
- Identify, assess and secure temporary accommodation solutions for staff.
- Work with stakeholders and specialist advisors to source and evaluate off‑site storage facilities for high‑value collection, ensuring compliance with conservation, security and Commonwealth procurement standards.
- Coordinate legal and due diligence processes to ensure lease documentation accurately reflects agreed commercial positions and mitigates institutional risk.
- Provide clear, evidence‑based advice to senior executives on commercial outcomes, risks and value‑for‑money considerations.
- Support capital works project managers on broader project delivery requirements as directed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in commercial leasing, property project management or accommodation strategy within a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to lead commercial negotiations and secure strong value‑for‑money outcomes.
- Experience managing or contributing to procurement processes under the Commonwealth Procurement Rules or an equivalent public‑sector framework.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to prepare clear, concise and well‑researched briefs or presentations for senior decision‑makers.
- Strong organisational capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a team environment.
