Your new role
APS6 Procurement and Operations Officer (6 month Labour Hire)
As an APS6 Officer, you’ll manage a portfolio of contracts and procurement activities while supporting financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Administering purchase orders, accruals, and reconciliations
Managing contract variations, extensions, and close-outs
Supporting RFQs, panel engagements, and market research
Preparing financial and procurement reports for internal stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with CPRs, PGPA Act, and agency policies
EL1 Procurement and Operations Officer (6 month Labour Hire)
As an EL1 Officer, you’ll lead strategic procurement initiatives and oversee financial operations across the agency. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing authoritative advice on complex procurements and contract structures
Leading end-to-end procurement and financial governance
Managing supplier relationships and resolving disputes
Mentoring junior staff and improving procurement frameworks
Preparing executive-level reports and submissions
What you'll need to succeed
You bring proven expertise in government procurement, financial operations, and contract administration, with deep knowledge of the CPRs, PGPA Act, and Commonwealth contracting frameworks. Skilled in high-level negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and reporting, you balance strategic insight with hands-on experience in contract administration. Your ability to manage competing priorities in compliance-driven environments, backed by strong analytical skills and an active Baseline clearance.
