Your new company

This department has one of the largest Legal Divisions within the APS and is seeking an APS6 or EL1 Practice Manager to assist in the practice management unit to deliver a range of legal administrative support tasks.

Your new role

Your new role will see you responsible and overseeing a range of legal and non-legal administration tasks such as:

• Processing subpoenas, including complex matters
• Coordination and ongoing support regarding matters heard in the AAT
• Undertake adhoc recruitment, reporting and accomodation needs of the division.
• Manage and oversee junior staff within the unit with the allocation of workload.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in this exciting opportunity, you must hold a baseline clearance as well as the following experience:

• Worked within the APS within an administrative type position, ideally within a legal environment.
• Demonstrated the ability to provide high quality and business-focused solutions to all SLO & PLOs in the division.
• The ability to show initiative and be able to manage multiple competing priorities

What you'll get in return

In return for this exciting opportunity, you will be offered a 12-month non-ongoing contract or, for permanent APS, a section 26 transfer. You will be exposed to high level government work and be able to showcase your strong legal administrative experience to senior legal professionals.
