12 months in a copy editing and technical writing position with the Government
Your new company
Join a care focused Federal Government Department in the Services and Communications branch located in Canberra. Your role will be a team membership position requiring a high attention to detail and understanding of government writing style guides.
Your new role
You have an interest in working independently within a team and are a confident decision maker. You will provide policy and operational advice relating to complex problems. In addition, you will be coordinating and assisting with the strategic planning and policy development that supports the department's objectives. You will be working in collaboration with subject-matter experts to create accurate and accessible content for a varied audience.
In addition, you will be responsible for copy editing and proofreading corporate documents, ensuring content accuracy, creating and updating technical guidance documents, procedural guides and project plans.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated exceptional editing, proofreading and writing skills
- Familiarity with the Australian Government Style Manual and experience applying these standards to technical documents
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisation and planning skills
What you'll get in return
This is an hourly rate contract role for an initial period of 12 months. Contracting rates can be offered at $60 + super per hour.
