Location: Canberra, ACT
We are partnering with a federal government client to engage an experienced APS5 Administration Support Officer. This position supports complex procurement and contract management processes and would suit an individual with a strong administrative background and familiarity with Whole-of-Government (WoG) ICT sourcing frameworks.
Your new role
In this dynamic position, you will:
Provide comprehensive administrative support for government ICT procurement activities, including the management of Panels, Marketplaces and Single Seller Arrangements
Assist with financial administration, such as processing purchase orders, tracking expenditure, reconciling payments and supporting budgeting activities
Prepare and maintain documentation including contract registers, variation letters, records of decision, and meeting minutes
Liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors to support compliance with procurement procedures and financial frameworks
Monitor inboxes, respond to queries and coordinate team activities to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of administrative services.
Support reporting, governance and audit readiness by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
A sound understanding of Commonwealth procurement processes and WoG ICT sourcing mechanisms
Experience supporting contract and financial administration in a government context
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft professional correspondence and liaise with stakeholders effectively
High attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial or procurement systems such as SAP, TechOne or similar
