APS5 Executive Assistant

Your new company

Your new Federal Government agency is seeking an APS5 Executive Assistant to join a high-profile division that plays a key role in national regulation and governance due to upcoming staff movements.

Your new role

As the APS5 Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support to a Division Head. You will act as a central point of coordination across the division and with senior stakeholders. Your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Manage day-to-day communications with internal and external stakeholders

  • Coordinate information flow between the executive and senior leadership team

  • Monitor incoming correspondence, set priorities, and track responses

  • Prepare briefing packs, meeting papers, and executive correspondence

  • Provide diary, travel, and inbox management

  • Reconcile travel expenses and corporate credit card statements

  • Arrange meetings, venues, agendas, papers, and minutes

  • Support divisional coordination and the executive assistant network

  • Assist with procurement, budgeting, and records management

  • Provide support to other senior managers as required

What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous experience as an executive assistant in a Government or corporate setting. You will also have:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines

  • Clear and confident communication skills

  • Experience preparing executive correspondence and briefing materials

  • Sound knowledge of financial processes and records management

To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have a Government security clearance at the baseline level or higher.
