This Federal Government Organisation is seeking an APS5 Executive Assistant to join their team for a 12-month non-ongoing contract. Your new role
As an Executive Assistant, you’ll provide high-level support to the General Manager and a Band 1 Executive. You’ll manage busy calendars, coordinate meetings, handle travel bookings and expenses, and help keep the office running smoothly. You’ll be part of a friendly team of EAs and EOs who support each other and work together to get things done.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage complex calendars and meeting schedules
- Book travel and process expenses
- Provide general office support including printing and coordination
- Work closely with a team of 4 EAs and 3 EOs
- Step in to support others when team members are on leave
- Build strong relationships across the workplace
- Balance priorities between two senior executives
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant (APS experience preferred)
- Strong organisational and time management skills are essential.
- Confidence in using Outlook and office equipment (yes, even printers!)
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly
- A proactive attitude and team-first mindset
- Comfortable working full-time in the Sydney office. (hybrid is an option after a few weeks)
- Resilience and professionalism, able to handle different personalities with ease
