APS4 Finance Officer

Your new role

As a Treasury Officer, you'll play a key role supporting treasury and financial accounting activities while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Working within a collaborative finance team, you will provide timely financial management support and work closely with internal stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing daily and monthly bank reconciliations and supporting work papers
  • Processing invoices and assisting with accounts payable activities
  • Managing corporate credit card processes and supplier enquiries
  • Preparing month-end journals and supporting financial close activities
  • Assisting with month-end reporting on operating and capital expenditure
  • Supporting cash management activities, appropriation drawdowns and associated reporting
  • Performing financial analysis and contributing to value-for-money assessments
  • Assisting with budget preparation and mid-year review processes
  • Supporting treasury and financial accounting projects and initiatives as required

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this Finance Advisor role, you'll bring:
  • Must be an Australian citizen with a Baseline security clearance
  • Experience in financial accounting, treasury or financial management functions
  • Strong reconciliation and financial transaction processing skills
  • Experience preparing journals, reports and financial work papers
  • Sound analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work with limited supervision
  • Experience working within a government or complex corporate environment
