APS4 Executive Assistant

Your new company

This well-known Commonwealth statutory authority that regulates communications and media services in Australia is seeking an APS4 Executive Assistant to join their Human Resources and Communications Branch to support the Executive Manager.

Your new role

You will provide Executive Assistant support to an Executive Manager while also supporting the branch in human resource and secretariat duties.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Calendar and email management.
  • Coordinating and assisting workflow management.
  • Arranging and managing travel arrangements.
  • Reconcile and acquit credit card expenses.
  • Assist section managers with administrative tasks.
  • Screen phone calls for the Executive Manager.
  • Undertake research and preparation of correspondence.
  • Ensure all hard copy and electronic documents are filed in accordance with approved records management processes and security requirements.
  • Work with the Executive Assistant cohort.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.
The human resource administrative and secretariat duties include but are not limited to:
  • Respond to enquiries in the human resource mailbox.
  • Coordinate and arrange WHS ergonomic assessments and order equipment.
  • Providing secretariat support to a national forum and committee.
  • Corporate coordination and administration.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience in a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbally, high attention to detail skills, the ability to take initiative and manage competing priorities, sound judgement, the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
