Your new role
As an AO6 Senior Support Planner, you’ll be responsible for assessing participant needs and developing tailored support plans that reflect individual goals, choice, and control. You’ll provide expert guidance to less senior team members, liaise with stakeholders including legal representatives and carers, and ensure plans are aligned with legislative requirements and community expectations. This role demands a strategic mindset, strong decision-making capabilities, and a passion for empowering participants to live independently and engage meaningfully in their communities.
Key responsibilities include:
Creating and reviewing support plans based on participant needs and statutory guidelines
Providing technical advice and mentoring to junior staff
Collaborating with families, carers, and legal representatives
Identifying sustainable care options and service improvements
Promoting participant autonomy and community participation
Contributing to a learning culture and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
Strong knowledge of support planning principles and disability services
Experience in personal injury claim management, particularly for catastrophic injuries
Proven ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Leadership capability in dynamic, multidisciplinary environments
