We’re recruiting for a Senior Communications Advisor to support major project delivery in Brisbane. You’ll lead communication strategies for complex, high-risk infrastructure projects and work closely with senior stakeholders across government and the community.
Your new role
- Build strong relationships with ministerial staff, departmental leaders, and community stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver communication strategies for high-risk projects.
- Write clear, accurate content—media releases, briefings, newsletters, and speech notes.
- Monitor project activity to identify risks and trends in public messaging.
- Provide strategic advice on issues management and executive correspondence.
- Represent the region’s communication interests across government and industry networks.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in infrastructure or public sector communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats.
- Confidence managing sensitive messaging and high-profile stakeholders.
- Experience with executive correspondence and issues management.
- A practical understanding of governance, policy, and public accountability.
- A proactive mindset and sound judgement under pressure.
What you'll get in return
- Based in Brisbane CBD.
- Full-time, up to 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am–6pm).
- AO6 pay scale: $77.02–$82.40/hour + super (based on experience).
- Weekly pay, no payroll fees, and your choice of super fund.
