Your new role
As a Senior Revenue Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the effective management of debt recovery and financial processes within a high-volume, compliance-driven environment. You will be responsible for overseeing outstanding debt portfolios, providing advice on complex matters, and ensuring accurate financial records and reporting. This role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders while maintaining a focus on process improvement and service delivery. You will be responsible for:
- Managing and monitoring outstanding debt files, determining appropriate recovery actions
- Preparing correspondence to debtors and stakeholders regarding financial obligations
- Providing guidance on debt management processes, policies, and procedures
- Negotiating payment arrangements with clients, including those in complex circumstances
- Conducting reconciliations and supporting financial reporting requirements
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and internal controls
- Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to continuous enhancement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and managing outstanding debt files
- Strong understanding of debt recovery processes and compliance requirements
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Background in accounting or finance, including exposure to asset accounting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
