A well-known Queensland Government department based in the Brisbane CBD is looking for an experienced Project Support Officer to join their team.
Your new role
- Manage the CIO’s calendar, ensuring meetings are scheduled smoothly and documents are prepared in advance.
- Provide admin support for forums, executive meetings, and committees, including inbox and records management.
- Assist with tasks like timesheets, form processing, and ID card coordination.
- Help prepare agendas, reports, and presentations for governance groups.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, executives, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor incoming correspondence and direct it appropriately, flagging key issues.
- Prioritise tasks, communicate availability, and support team members when needed.
- Continuously improve admin systems to enhance team support.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant systems.
- Experience providing high-level support to senior executives.
- Demonstrated capability in handling responsibilities aligned with executive support and governance coordination.
- Previous roles as an Executive Assistant and/or Project Support Officer.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and manage time effectively
- Previous experience working in Government or large corporate environments, where formal processes and confidentiality are key.
