We are partnered with a State Government organisation in Oxley to recruit a Rostering Officer for a three-month assignment with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
As a Rostering Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Centre’s operations by ensuring efficient and accurate staff scheduling. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and maintaining staff rosters to ensure coverage during leave, training, and daily operations.
- Interpreting and applying relevant legislation, awards, and policies.
- Liaising with managers and stakeholders to track staff movements and update rosters accordingly.
- Providing accurate advice on rostering and leave matters.
- Maintaining data integrity across rostering systems and generating reports as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- A current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
- Previous rostering experience, ideally in a 24/7 operational environment
- Familiarity with rostering systems such as Excel, Emplive, Aurion, and Microsoft Office
- Payroll experience (highly beneficial) or high-volume data entry experience
- Proven ability to interpret and enter data accurately
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
- Reliability, honesty, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Willingness to work one day per week without a mobile phone or electronic device, with a 9:00am start
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, with start times ranging from 5am to 9am and finish times up to 6pm depending on team support needs
- Availability to work through the Christmas period, with time off only on public holidays
