We are partnered with a State Government organisation in Nerang to recruit a part-time Project Support Officer for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
Join this State Government organisation to provide high-level support to project managers and team members on the road infrastructure projects. This temporary role involves:
Administrative Support: Coordinate team meetings, take and distribute minutes, prepare documents and reports, maintain spreadsheets and registers, and provide timely updates and presentations.
Project Support: Assist with financial approval documentation, contract administration, and procurement activities, including preparing procurement documents, liaising with external parties, and supporting tender processes in line with departmental frameworks.
Documentation Management: Ensure infrastructure project documentation is accurately compiled, tracked, and recorded, and followed up on to ensure timely delivery and approvals.
Database Maintenance: Update and improve database information by interpreting technical and engineering documents to analyse and report complex road information system outputs.
Compliance: Ensure operational practices and standards comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (including WH&S), and governance obligations.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this position, you should possess:
Current holder of a Class C Drivers Licence (mandatory)
Experience providing high-level project and administrative support
The ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Professionalism and a positive team-oriented attitude
Initiative and effective time management skills for handling enquiries and tasks
Strong interpersonal skills
Criminal History Screening must be undertaken by the successful candidate
