Hays is currently partnering with a large state government department to recruit an AO3 Maintenance Support Officer. This opportunity sits within a high-performing team responsible for coordinating maintenance service requests.
Your new role
You will join a small, collaborative Maintenance Response Centre team, delivering high-quality support in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The team manages maintenance requests across various public assets, working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service within a high-volume call centre environment
- Respond to incoming maintenance enquiries via phone and email
- Prepare, action, and maintain work orders and service requests
- Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely outcomes
- Manage correspondence in line with service level agreements and KPIs
- Apply effective communication, including handling sensitive or escalated enquiries
What you'll need to succeed - Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proven experience in administrative or contact centre environments
- Excellent data entry and computer skills (including MS Office)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- A team-focused mindset and professional approach
- Previous experience or exposure to the building, maintenance, or construction industry would be highly desirable
