We are partnered with this State Government organisation to recruit an AO3 Customer Service Officer on a 6-Month Contract paying $50.37 P/H + Super. This role is based full-time in the department's Toowoomba office.
Your new roleJoin a large state government department that is responsible as a regulator for the building and construction industry in Queensland. This role serves as the initial point of contact for face-to-face customer service. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide accurate information and advice to customers on building-related matters, including legislation, services, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with service delivery across key areas such as licencing applications, the Home Warranty Scheme, contractor compliance, and dispute management.
- Deliver exceptional customer service across all channels, including face-to-face interactions, and demonstrate resilience when managing challenging enquiries.
- Support promotional, educational, and community engagement activities, and perform a range of administrative duties within Regional Services.
What you'll need to succeed - Apply and interpret legislation, policy, and standards to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service and advice.
- Process and analyse information using contact centre systems and databases to support service delivery and decision-making.
- Contribute to team goals by embracing flexibility, continuous improvement, and active participation in Regional Service Centre initiatives.
- Communicate effectively and professionally to ensure strong customer engagement, especially when handling challenging interactions.
