Animal Attendant

Immediate requirement for an Animal Attendant in this temporary role.

Your new company

Situated to the East of Melbourne, this Local Council is experiencing busy times within their Municipal Animal Pound.


Your new role

This Local Council has an immediate temporary requirement for an Animal Attendant to assist the team for approximately 4–6 weeks. Working at the Municipal Animal Pound, the role will include cleaning, feeding and walking/exercising animals, as well as medicating animals. You will also be transporting animals to and from the vet. The role could entail working with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, roosters, parrots and occasionally chickens, sheep, goats and livestock.


What you'll need to succeed

You will have competent animal handling skills and will have worked in a similar role previously. You will have experience working in a role that entails handling animals and working with animals. You will be available to work Monday to Friday for the duration of the temporary role.
