Your new role
As an Administration and Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate administrative and customer service support within a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. You will deliver a high standard of customer service while assessing applications in line with legislative requirements.
Your duties will include:
- Providing customer service / call centre support, responding to enquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Contacting applicants to obtain or clarify any missing information.
- Reviewing internal databases to assess applicant suitability against legislation.
- Assessing, processing and making determinations on licence and permit applications.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Providing accurate advice and information to stakeholders, including members of the public and internal teams.
- Contributing to a high-performing team environment and supporting broader operational objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Prior experience within an administration or customer service role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to analyse and assess information accurately.
- Experience working with database systems, with strong data entry and administrative skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and legislation.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and within a team.
- Previous experience in a government or regulatory environment (highly regarded).
