An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join a well‑established property company on the Gold Coast. This role is well suited to a confident finance professional who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, collaborative property environment and is looking to further develop their career.
Your New Role
Reporting into the property team, you will be responsible for managing tenant arrears across a diverse retail portfolio, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of tenant accounts and supporting effective debt recovery outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing arrears for an allocated portfolio of tenants, with portfolio allocation subject to change in line with business requirements
- Achieving arrears and collection targets set by the business
- Conducting high‑volume reconciliations of tenant accounts, ensuring payments and credits are applied accurately and within required timeframes
- Finalising inactive accounts in a timely manner
- Liaising with external solicitors regarding legal matters relating to arrears and recovery
- Assisting with additional administration and processing tasks within the property company as required
What you’ll need to succeed
You will bring a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
To be successful, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high‑volume accounts receivable or collections role
- Previous experience in a property or retail environment (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience reconciling tenant or client accounts
- Sound knowledge of retail leases
- Exposure to arrears management involving administration and liquidation (desirable)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A clear understanding of credit policies and procedures
