Accounts Payable Officer
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a fast‑growing Australian lifestyle organisation with a strong retail and online presence. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented finance professional who enjoys working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative finance team.
Your New Company
Reporting to the Finance team, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier payments and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices and purchase orders accurately and within agreed timeframes
- Verifying, reconciling, and resolving discrepancies in vendor statements
- Communicating with suppliers to resolve payment queries and issues
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
- Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs
- Assisting with month‑end close activities
- Supporting the broader finance team as required
- Contributing to system improvements, ERP optimisation, and automation initiatives (NetSuite experience highly regarded)
Your New Role
You will be a dependable and organised accounts payable professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
You will bring:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounts payable role
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively
