Your new role
As the Senior Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end accounts payable process. You’ll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting financial reporting. This role offers the chance to lead initiatives, mentor junior staff, and contribute to system and process enhancements that drive efficiency across the department.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Processing high-volume invoices and managing payments runs with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies and payment queries
  • Performing account reconciliations and supporting month-end close activities
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements
  • Assisting with system upgrades and process improvement initiatives
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members

What you'll need to succeed
  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, ideally in a senior or leadership capacity
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in financial systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality service and continuous improvement
