Your new role
As an Admin Assistant – Accounting, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager and broader finance team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is a varied position combining accounting support, administration and payroll backup responsibilities.
Key duties will include:
- Processing operational transactions and timesheet data to support accounts payable and receivable functions
- Assisting with the preparation and issuance of customer invoices
- Supporting credit applications and debt collection processes
- Providing administrative support across the business units, including handling general office enquiries
- Assisting with payroll processes (weekly and fortnightly) as backup support
- Maintaining accurate financial and administrative records
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in a similar accounting/admin role
- Exposure to accounting, bookkeeping, finance or business-related disciplines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Confidence working across multiple systems and platforms
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Must have your own transport to work.
