Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of end‑to‑end financial accounting, including month‑end management, statutory compliance, and oversight of transactional finance activities. You’ll also work closely with a small offshore team, delegating and reviewing day-to-day processing to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full month‑end process, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
Prepare financial statements and support ACNC and other regulatory reporting
Partner with the Finance Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
Oversee and delegate transactional finance tasks to an offshore team
Drive process improvements and support the development of scalable financial systems
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and charity regulations
Support audit preparation and respond to auditor queries
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll be a strong fit if you bring:
CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
Proven experience in end‑to‑end financial accounting
Prior exposure to the charity or not-for-profit sector
Experience with ACNC reporting (highly desirable)
Confidence working in environments undergoing change or growth
A proactive mindset with the ability to streamline processes
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
Availability to start immediately or at short notice
Based in NSW and able to work autonomously from home most of the time

$120–130k annual salary equivalent, paid as an hourly rate, weekly on timesheets
