Your new role

As a Property & Strata Account Executive, you will play a key role in overseeing a varied portfolio spanning residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed‑use properties. A significant portion of the portfolio relates to strata schemes, making strong strata knowledge highly advantageous. The role blends client management, technical placement expertise, and strategic negotiation to deliver tailored insurance solutions across the broader property sector. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and retaining a portfolio of property and strata clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Designing and presenting customised insurance programmes that address the specific risks, compliance needs, and operational requirements of property owners, managers, and strata communities.
  • Negotiating competitive terms with insurers and underwriting partners, using your market insight to secure optimal cover and pricing.
  • Handling client enquiries, providing informed guidance on policy coverage, endorsements, risk mitigation and claims processes.
  • Coordinating claims from start to finish, liaising with clients, insurers, assessors and loss adjusters to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.
  • Identifying opportunities for portfolio growth through networking, referrals, and strengthening relationships across the property and strata sectors.
  • Ensuring compliance with RG146, relevant property and strata legislation, and internal governance standards.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging risks within the property and strata insurance landscape.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams—claims, underwriting, and support functions—to ensure cohesive delivery and meet organisational goals.
  • Maintaining Tier 1 qualifications and completing ongoing professional development.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you will bring:

  • At least 3 years’ insurance broking experience, with a minimum of 2 years within strata or property lines.

  • The capability to manage a substantial strata renewal workload (70+ renewals per month).

  • Tier 1 RG146 accreditation.

  • Strong technical competence across broking platforms and systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal partners.

  • Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
