Your new role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Housing Officer . In this role, you will deliver a wide range of applicant, tenancy, and property management services while providing guidance to customers, advocates, and stakeholders. Your work will also play a key role in enhancing the overall customer experience by delivering person-centred housing support to a diverse community in need of social housing and assistance.

This position is based in Mount Isa and offered on a temporary, flexible full-time basis, with hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday .

What you'll need to succeed:
To be considered for this role, you must have:

• QLD Driver's license
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team
• Desire to provide proactive and high-quality customer service and support
• Conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing skills to assist in the de-escalation of challenging situations and behaviours
• Ability to maintain focus and remain optimistic under pressure
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and procedures and work within delegated limits when making decisions.
