Join a large and complex public sector organisation undertaking a major SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This enterprise-wide initiative will modernise core business processes, improve service delivery, streamline operations, and deliver a future-ready digital platform. As part of this significant ERP implementation, an experienced Business Readiness Lead is required to support the Source-to-Pay (S2P) value stream and drive business preparedness for successful adoption.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Change & Business Readiness Program Manager, you will lead business readiness activities across the end-to-end Source-to-Pay value stream, ensuring stakeholders, processes, data, testing, and operational teams are prepared for the transition to SAP S/4HANA.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing current S2P processes and identifying readiness gaps.
- Developing and executing readiness action plans.
- Engaging stakeholders across procurement and associated business functions.
- Supporting change, communication, and training activities to drive user adoption.
- Aligning business processes with future-state SAP S/4HANA capabilities.
- Supporting benefits realisation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Coordinating business participation in testing activities, including UAT.
- Driving data quality, cleansing, enrichment, and transformation activities.
- Planning and supporting go-live activities, including participation in command centre/war room support.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- 5+ years' experience in business readiness, project/program delivery, procurement transformation, or ERP implementations.
- Proven experience delivering outcomes within a Source-to-Pay or procurement environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale business transformation programs.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, including UAT and process validation testing.
- Experience driving data readiness and quality initiatives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience working within cross-functional and virtual teams.
Desirable experience includes:
- SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
- SAP Activate methodology and Fit-to-Standard workshop experience.
- Experience within local government or other large public sector environments.
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Finance, IT, Procurement, or a related discipline.
- Understanding of change management principles and business adoption strategies.
