Project Manager - ERP Testing & Readiness

6-Month Contract | Sydney | $1,000 per day + Super


An opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join a major enterprise-wide ERP transformation. With go-live scheduled for November, the program is entering a critical phase focused on testing, business readiness and production preparation.

This is a hands-on delivery role where you will take ownership of testing coordination across a large and complex Workday implementation, helping bring structure, accountability and momentum to a program approaching a significant organisational milestone.

Working closely with the Program Manager, Test Manager, business stakeholders and delivery partners, you will play a key role in uplifting testing capability, coordinating activities across multiple workstreams and ensuring the organisation is well-prepared for a successful go-live.


The Role

You will join a high-profile transformation program implementing Workday HCM and Finance across the organisation. The program is currently progressing through System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with production readiness, dress rehearsals and go-live activities rapidly approaching.

Your focus will be to provide leadership and coordination across the testing function, bringing greater structure, visibility and efficiency to an established team while ensuring alignment with the broader program.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage testing activities across SIT, UAT and end-to-end business process testing
  • Drive testing governance, planning, reporting and stakeholder communication
  • Ensure alignment between business, functional and technical teams on test scenarios and execution plans
  • Support production readiness, dress rehearsal and go-live preparation activities
  • Manage dependencies, risks, issues and critical testing milestones
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination across internal and vendor testing resources
  • Establish improved ways of working and uplift the effectiveness of the testing function
  • Work closely with program leadership to ensure successful delivery outcomes.


About You

You are a delivery-focused Project Manager who is comfortable stepping into complex environments, quickly assessing challenges and driving practical improvements.

You will bring:
  • Strong understanding of the full testing lifecycle, including SIT, UAT, end-to-end process testing, performance testing and security testing
  • Experience coordinating testing teams and managing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure, governance and accountability to delivery environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience working within higher education, government or similarly complex organisations will be highly regarded.
  • Workday program experience is advantageous but not essential.
