Your new role

As an IT Security Engineer, you will be responsible for safeguarding the organisation’s networks, systems and applications from cyber threats. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing security strategies, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents across a complex enterprise environment.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and maintaining information security strategies, standards and policies
  • Implementing security tools and hardening solutions to protect sensitive data
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify risks
  • Monitoring and investigating security alerts, and leading incident response activities
  • Performing forensic analysis and preparing reports on security incidents
  • Supporting secure architecture design and providing recommendations for improvements
  • Driving cyber awareness and training programs across the organisation
  • Working closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance security posture


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in IT security, including endpoint protection, firewalls, intrusion detection and SIEM tools
  • Strong exposure to cloud security, ideally within Microsoft Azure environments
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments and vulnerability management (SAST/DAST)
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure application architecture
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 frameworks, ISMS, and data loss prevention concepts
  • Ability to perform penetration testing and support incident response activities
  • Understanding of disaster recovery and digital forensics methods
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree in IT/Computer Science (preferred)
  • Industry certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, CCSP, or CEH are highly regarded
