We’re partnering a State Government organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of a critical transformation initiative.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in stabilising and delivering a complex ICT project, while contributing to a broader digital transformation program that impacts education outcomes across Victoria.

Your new role

As the Project Manager, you will take ownership of the remaining phases of a large-scale ICT project, ensuring delivery is reset, aligned and successfully executed.

You’ll bring strong leadership across multiple workstreams, including:
- Organisational change management
- Stakeholder engagement
- Software delivery lifecycle
- Communications, training and implementation
- Governance, assurance and transition to BAU

You’ll be responsible for developing an integrated project plan, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring alignment with the organisation's broader ICT strategy and future-state roadmap

• Review the current state of the project and identify gaps, risks and dependencies
• Develop and drive a clear, integrated delivery plan across all workstreams
• Provide practical end-to-end project leadership and coordination
• Strengthen governance frameworks, including Steering Committee engagement
• Manage stakeholder relationships across business and technical teams
• Oversee project controls, reporting and documentation for senior stakeholders
• Support release planning and scope confirmation (in/out/deferred)
• Ensure alignment with strategic ICT transformation objectives
• Prepare a structured handover for ongoing project ownership

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience delivering complex ICT projects within government environments
• Proven ability in project recovery, stabilisation and delivery turnaround
• Excellent stakeholder and governance management skills
• Experience working with executive stakeholders and structured approval processes
• Relevant qualifications in ICT, Business or Project Management
• Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent highly regarded
