Your new role
As Retail Manager, you will support the management of a designated portfolio of retail assets, ensuring exceptional retailer relationships, operational standards, and commercial outcomes are achieved.
Acting as the key liaison between tenants, asset management, facilities management, and other stakeholders, you will play a critical role in maximising asset performance and enhancing the customer experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with retail partners and stakeholders.
- Conducting regular retailer meetings and managing tenant communications.
- Monitoring retailer performance, sales, traffic trends, and providing weekly reporting and insights.
- Managing tenancy schedules, insurance registers, securities, and critical lease compliance requirements.
- Supporting marketing initiatives, retailer promotions, website content, and social media engagement.
- Identifying opportunities to generate additional income through storage, casual mall leasing, and vacant tenancy activation.
- Partnering with Facilities Managers to ensure centres are maintained to the highest standards of presentation, safety, and compliance.
- Assisting with capital works communication, maintenance projects, and stakeholder updates.
- Ensuring retailer compliance with lease obligations and presentation standards.
- Supporting budget preparation, financial reporting, and annual planning activities.
- Promoting a collaborative and customer-focused culture across all stakeholder groups.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will possess
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Retail Property Management, Centre Management, or a similar property-related role.
- Certificate of Registration (mandatory).
- Current Driving Licence (mandatory).
- Tertiary qualifications in Property, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Strong understanding of retail centre operations, lease administration, and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements, risk management practices, and Australian standards.
- Experience building effective relationships with retailers, customers, contractors, and asset stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
