Business Analyst

A utilities' client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with sector experience.

Contract Details
  • Duration: Initial 6-month contract
  • Location: Melbourne (hybrid working arrangements available)

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale transformation initiative within a complex, regulated environment. This program is undergoing a reset and will recommence shortly, offering an opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of critical business and technology capabilities. Working closely with architectural and delivery teams, the Business Analyst will play a key role in defining business processes, supporting service orchestration design, and translating business requirements into practical technology solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with architects and stakeholders to
    define end-to-end business processes
  • Elicit, analyse, and document
    business and functional requirements
  • Translate business needs into
    clear specifications for system and service solutions
  • Support the design of
    service orchestration and integrated capabilities
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions across business and technical teams
  • Contribute to the
    program mobilisation and reset activities, helping shape delivery priorities
  • Produce high-quality artefacts including
    process maps, user stories, and requirements documentation
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure requirements are effectively implemented.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement across processes and systems

What you'll need to succeed

Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within large scale or complex transformation programs
  • Background working in regulated, infrastructure, utilities, or energy-related environments
  • Strong experience in process modelling and business analysis techniques
  • Exposure to service orchestration, system integration, or end-to-end solution design
  • Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and documentation skills
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments


Desirable Experience
  • Experience supporting program resets, mobilisation, or early-stage design phases.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or policy-driven programs.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture or integration concepts.
