Your new role
Based out of Launceston, you will work alongside an experienced delivery driver, assisting with deliveries across the state. This is a hands-on, physically active role suited to someone who enjoys working on the road and being part of a team.
Day-to-day, you will support all aspects of the delivery process, ensuring goods are handled safely, delivered efficiently, and presented to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the delivery driver with daily routes across Tasmania
- Loading and unloading goods using safe manual handling techniques
- Operating a pallet jack to move stock
- Using a powered tailgate/lift to safely load and unload items from the truck
- Unwrapping and preparing large items for delivery
- Supporting efficient and accurate deliveries to customers
- Maintaining the presentation and condition of goods
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in a delivery offsider, labouring, or warehouse role (preferred but not essential)
- Strong physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling tasks
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A current driver’s licence (highly regarded)
