Loan Operations Analyst – Institutional Banking

Support complex institutional deals from documentation through to lifecycle management and client servicing

This leading Big Four Bank supports millions of customers across retail, business and institutional banking through innovative, secure and future-focused financial solutions.
We are currently recruiting for multiple opportunities within the Global Lending & Leasing team. This division manages the administration of bilateral loans, syndicated deals, and corporate equipment and asset finance portfolios across domestic and institutional clients.
Due to internal promotions and team growth, we are seeking several individuals to join this high-performing function.

Your new role

You will join a specialist Middle Office / Back Office lending operations team, supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of institutional lending products.
Working closely with front office bankers and clients, your responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing and interpreting complex loan documentation (often 100–700 pages)
  • Translating legal agreements and loan terms into internal systems including Loan IQ
  • Managing in-life loan maintenance including rollovers, drawdowns, and fee processing
  • Liaising directly with internal stakeholders and external clients to execute instructions
  • Performing manual calculations and resolving discrepancies
  • Supporting a range of institutional products including bank guarantees, cash lending and multi-option facilities
  • This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment where accuracy and strong stakeholder communication are critical.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered you will have:
  • Previous experience in banking/financial services, liaising with bankers and customers
  • Exposure to lending operations & loan processing with a preference for institutional lending experience
  • Loan IQ usage is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex documentation
  • Excellent communication skills with experience liaising with stakeholders
  • Problem-solving ability and confidence working with manual calculations
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn in an evolving, technology-driven environment
  • Candidates from Big Four banks, financial institutions or Big Four consulting/accounting firms will be highly regarded.
