Your New RoleAs an EL1 Program Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex policy and program initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and government priorities.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of strategic policy and reform initiatives
- Managing programs and projects with agency-wide impact
- Providing leadership, planning, and resource management for teams and contractors
- Preparing and reviewing high-level policy papers, briefings, reports, and correspondence
- Analysing data and complex information to inform decision-making
- Building and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Managing risk, governance, and compliance in a complex environment
What You Will Need to Succeed - Experience leading the development and implementation of policy, including analysing data and preparing high-level written materials
- Demonstrated experience in strategic policy and implementation
- Experience leading teams within the public sector to deliver reform policy, programs, or projects
- Strong understanding of legislation and its application
- Experience with strategic commissioning
- Highly developed analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and writing skills, tailored for a government audience
Desirable Skills & Experience - Knowledge of the disability sector
- Strong judgement and governance capability
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities
- Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Understanding of Commonwealth procurement rules
