Your new role

• Act as the first point of contact, managing intake, triage, and initial client assessments
• Provide crisis response, including risk assessment, safety planning, and immediate support
• Coordinate referrals and connect clients with appropriate services
• Deliver short-term case coordination and brief counselling support
• Support clients through service pathways, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
• Build relationships with internal teams and external service providers
• Provide court support and advocacy on a rostered basis
• Maintain accurate client records and complete administrative requirements
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and continuous improvement activities
• Work collaboratively within the team to deliver high-quality client care

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or Counselling (with registration or eligibility)
• Experience working with women and/or children impacted by domestic and family violence or sexual violence
• Strong understanding of crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning
• Knowledge of relevant legislation including DFV frameworks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage sensitive and complex situations
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Current driver’s licence, Blue Card, and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work effectively with diverse communities in a culturally sensitive way
