Your new role

As the Manager of Risk & Compliance, you will act as a subject-matter expert providing specialist advice across risk, compliance and assurance within a telecommunications function.
You will be responsible for embedding robust governance and ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative obligations, including telecommunications requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering expert risk and compliance advisory across telecommunications operations
  • Developing and implementing frameworks, registers, and monitoring programs
  • Driving alignment with broader enterprise risk and compliance frameworks
  • Producing reporting and insights on risk exposure, controls and compliance performance
  • Supporting incident management, escalation and remediation planning
  • Facilitating risk workshops and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders to strengthen risk culture

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you will bring:
  • Strong experience in risk & compliance, ideally within telecommunications or complex infrastructure environments
  • An essential technical understanding of telecommunications
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and embedding risk frameworks
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders across multiple levels
  • Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capability
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Telecommunications, Engineering or related discipline
Desirable:
  • Experience within government or large-scale infrastructure environments
  • Exposure to project delivery or process improvement frameworks
