Hays is working with a national security organisation to engage an experienced Senior Performance Tester for a long‑term technology program based in Canberra.
This role suits a Senior Testing professional who leads testing end to end and is comfortable working in secure, highly governed environments.

Your new role

You will take ownership of performance testing across critical AFP systems, ensuring stability, resilience, and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and owning performance test strategies and test plans.

• Designing and executing performance and non‑functional test scenarios.

• Performance testing using LoadRunner or equivalent tools.

• Managing test execution, defects, and reporting through ALM or similar platforms.

• Producing clear test evidence and summary reporting for delivery and governance.

• Working closely with Business Analysts, vendors, and delivery teams.

• Leading test activities and mentoring junior testers.

• Ensuring testing artefacts meet Federal Government standards.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience in performance testing within large, complex environments.

• Hands‑on use of LoadRunner, or a comparable enterprise tool.

• Experience with API testing and database querying.

• Strong test management capability using ALM or equivalent.

• Understanding of agile and DevOps delivery within structured programs.

• Proven experience working in Federal Government or regulated environments.

• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain NV1 clearance.
