Logistics Specialist – Deployed Operations - Defence Industry

A specialist aviation services organisation is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to support deployed operations across Australia and offshore locations. This is a hands-on, operational role suited to candidates with strong logistics coordination experience in aviation, defence, or complex supply environments.

This position operates on a rotational deployment roster and requires flexibility to work in remote and challenging conditions.

Your new role

Based at Learmonth, WA on a 14-days-on / 14-days-off rotation, you will serve as a Logistics Specialist embedded within an active aviation program, ensuring material readiness and supply chain continuity in a forward-deployed environment. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records across aviation parts, GSE, tools, and consumables
  • Managing receipt, storage, tracking, and shipment of equipment in compliance with ITAR, customs, and CASA requirements
  • Executing rapid procurement actions and raising purchase orders via the company ERP system (AMOS)
  • Coordinating import/export compliance for international deployed operations
  • Supporting maintainers, program managers, and finance teams with timely accountability and status reporting


What you'll need to succeed

  • 4+ years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management — defence or aviation background highly regarded
  • Experience with AMOS or Microsoft Dynamics D365 advantageous
  • Dangerous Goods by Air/Sea accreditation
  • Forklift Operator’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance
  • Comfortable operating in field conditions during deployment rotations
