With a strong Australian presence and long‑term program commitments, the organisation supports high‑assurance systems across multiple jurisdictions. While the work is delivered within Defence‑aligned environments, this is a commercial organisation, offering long‑term stability and structured delivery frameworks.

Your new role

As the Cyber Security Manager, you will lead cyber security operations across a portfolio of mission‑critical systems operating in a high‑security environment. You will provide senior leadership across cyber risk management, SOC capability, vulnerability management and incident response, while partnering closely with engineering and delivery teams throughout the system lifecycle. This is an ACT‑based role, with flexible working arrangements available. Ongoing engagement in Canberra will be required due to the nature of the work.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience in Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)

• SOC‑based cyber incident response experience, including leadership responsibilities

• Proven capability in vulnerability management, threat modelling and threat hunting

• Experience with SIEM optimisation and security monitoring

• Ability to clearly articulate cyber risk to technical and non‑technical stakeholders

• Strong written reporting skills

• Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Cyber Security, Intelligence, or Security / Risk

• Australian Citizenship with an active NV1 Security Clearance (including CSID)

Desirable:

• CISSP, CISM, SSCP, SANS or similar certifications
• Experience operating in regulated, high‑assurance or national‑security environments
• Exposure to DevSecOps, secure system design or MITRE ATT&CK
