Your new role

• Lead and supervise a small team of engineers, technical and field staff
• Manage the delivery of an annual ~$15m transport and civil infrastructure construction program
• Oversee construction works from restart through to practical completion and defects
• Act as the civil construction lead, coordinating contractors, superintendents and consultants
• Manage contracts, variations, progress claims, claims and construction risk
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements
• Proactively resolve construction issues to protect program and budget outcomes
• Provide clear reporting on progress, cost, safety and risk to senior stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualification in Engineering (Civil, Electrical or related discipline)
• Experience as a Senior Project Engineer, Construction Team Leader or Delivery Manager
• Strong background in transport and civil infrastructure construction
• Demonstrated experience managing contractors and construction delivery programs
• Proven leadership experience overseeing site‑based or delivery teams
• Strong understanding of construction risk management, WHS and quality systems
• Well-developed communication skills and stakeholder management capability
• Familiarity with Queensland construction standards and contract forms
