They are seeking an experienced Financial Lines Account Executive to manage and grow a portfolio of professional and corporate clients. This is a flexible, CBD-based role and represents an excellent next step for a broker with strong financial lines experience who is looking to work with sophisticated clients and insurers.
Your new role
As a Financial Lines Account Executive, you will be a key part of a specialist broking team, managing a diverse portfolio of clients across professional services, SMEs and mid-market corporates. The role combines technical financial lines expertise, stakeholder management and strategic negotiation to deliver tailored risk transfer solutions.
Managing and retaining a portfolio of financial lines clients, ensuring strong service standards, retention and long-term client relationships
Designing and presenting tailored insurance programmes and renewal strategies across classes including D&O, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, EPL and Management Liability.
Leading renewal negotiations with insurers and underwriting agencies to secure competitive terms and appropriate coverage structures.
Acting as a trusted adviser to clients, providing clear and practical advice on coverage, endorsements, policy interpretation and claims implications.
Supporting and coordinating claims alongside specialist claims teams, insurers and external advisers to achieve timely and commercial outcomes.
Identifying new business and cross-sell opportunities through existing relationships, referrals and collaboration with internal stakeholders
Ensuring adherence to RG146 requirements, AFSL obligations and internal governance frameworks, with accurate file and compliance management
Staying up to date with emerging risks, regulatory changes and market developments affecting financial lines.
Working closely with colleagues across broking, claims and support teams to deliver consistent service and meet business objectives.
Maintaining Tier 1 qualifications and completing ongoing professional development to support your technical capability.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you will bring:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance broking, with strong exposure to financial lines risks.
Proven ability to independently manage financial lines renewals and ongoing client servicing.
Tier 1 RG146 qualifications.
Strong systems capability and experience working with leading broking platforms.
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders, underwriters and professional clients.
Full, unrestricted working rights for Australia.
